COURSE OF LECTURES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS. HISTORY OF ART OF THE XX CENTURY

ABOUT PROJECT

In 2011, NGO Cultural Project created a special course of lectures for people of retirement age “History of Art of the Twentieth Century”. The lecture program was intended to highlight the main ideas of the twentieth century, which drastically changed the course of art history around the world.

The course consisted of 10 lectures and was repeated twice, and it was attended by over 300 listeners. The course was delivered by Halyna Mednkova, professor of the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University of Kyiv.

The program was designed to combine the period in which the audience was traced historically and to date, in order to reduce the gap between the understanding of the modern world of the elderly person and the reality of the present.

The importance of creating a free lecture course on the art of the twentieth century for people of retirement age is demonstrated by the fact that the audience is quite active, numerous and requires “smart” leisure.
